Document Style and Presentation
Hey folks!
This is my first post on the forum, I did a good deal of research regarding the question and did not find quite exactly what I looked for and was wondering if some of you can help me out.
I'm currently a final year undergrad, with a good GPA and CFA1 under my belt, however, I have 0 experience. Looking to get an internship or possibly a job offer over the next 6 months. I ideally want to get into a PE or advisory firm that deals mostly with LBO's.
I've been told that sending sample models along with some essential documents with my CV will greatly improve my chances. I have therefore familiarized myself with teasers, CIM's, LOI's, non disc. agreements... I have created samples of each, but find myself struggling with the "style" and "presentation" of the documents.
My question to you is: how does the industry usually create these? are templates always used? Which programs are most commonly used to create these types of documents? Can you provide some tips or guidelines to make the document seem professional and useful?
Thanks!
