Equity Research Help

Hey guys,

My friend came to me for help for an internship opportunity with equity research at Oppenheimer. I am going into S&T and I do have equity experience, but my application is much more statistical and short-term rather than fundamental. I was just going to give him a very academic approach to equity valuation etc. however if anyone has experience with equity research, interviewed for positions with equity research, or is currently working in equity research I would greatly appreciate if you could provide me with a "in a nutshell" guide to what to know and how to prepare. Thanks a lot.
