ER Summer internship question (Where to apply??)
Quick summary of myself:
Current non-target junior in undergrad business school. 3.7/4.0 GPA, a lot of informal investing experience (run own fund with about 25k and have been doing so for 2 years now. It is up 16% YTD, which might be irrelevant but could be a talking point with recruiters and also shows I have legitimate skin in the game and take the role seriously). I would consider myself very passionate about investing and ideally would like to end up at a buyside AM firm out of undergrad. I've written my own reports and do my own research for my stock picks, but again, no formal training, just from reading books and watching videos and other resources.
My question is this:
As recruiting season is around the corner, I am trying to narrow down my list of firms I am applying to. Currently my list in order of preference goes as follows:
J.P Morgan
Morgan Stanley
Piper Jaffray
T. Rowe Price
Robert W Baird
William Blair
Wells Fargo
I am not up to date on which firms provide for the best overall experience and reputation so I am looking to you guys for your insight and thoughts. I am very flexible in terms of companies to apply for and if there is one that you think should be in this list, please mention so.
Thank you all in advance
