From student sleeping hours to working man sleeping hours

Hi guys,

As a student, we all know, you can usually sleep as much as you want whenever you want. Waking up at noon is more rule than exception. Now I was wondering how long it took most of you guys to switch to early mornings (6/7am) and short 5-6h nights? Did it take long to get used to?

Just start practicing. I'm a procrastinator who'll end up getting under 20 hrs of sleep on midterm and finals weeks. Other times I just don't feel like sleeping and mess around until dawn and barely catch two hours of sleep and feel like shit when I have to wake up for class. Make sure you don't desensitize yourself to caffiene (become too tolerant) because you'll need to save it for those special days.

Was in the same boat as you. What worked for me was making sure you don't drink more than 1 or 2 at night, it disrupts your sleep. Also when I started doing more cardio in my workouts that helped too. Stuff like swimming and circuit training is what worked for me. To answer your question directly, it takes some time getting used to but the above behaviors helped me get more out of less sleep so that eased the pain.

Start drinking every night so the alcohol can help you go to sleep. You'll go from 4am to 2am to 12am in a week if you do it right. Worked for me earlier this year and it's a lot more fun than all the other suggestions.
