Hi everyone.
Hello Wall Street Oasis,
I am currently a business major at a "debatable" target school (not an Ivy or Stanford/MIT, but considered easily top 10 in business, finance, quant stuff, etc.) looking to grow his breadth of knowledge in business and to gain a little extra networking skill. Coming into college, I had a case of "high school major", as I was intent on doing Biomechanical Engineering all throughout high school, then changed my mind after having an internship for a few months. I found an interest in finance through online coursework, friends, extracurricular activities (stock portfolio competitions), and then stumbled upon this website as well as M&I. I've done my fair share of lurking and have seen a lot of ignorant individuals completely torn to pieces by some of the more experienced members on this website (funny? disturbing? meh) and feel, more or less, that it's my time to take the dive.
I hope I'm on track to garnering a lot of knowledge from WSO, and eventually, becoming a helpful member of this community.
