Hi I'm new on this forum! I have a question.
Hi guys, I've recently decided that I definitely want to start a career in finance. I have considered many careers and not one path is as rewarding/exciting as finance. Particularly I would be interested in breaking into investment banking front office, and maybe later consider pros and cons of moving into other areas such as HF, VC or PE. I will be applying for degrees such as Financial Mathemathics, Economy, Finance and possibly Business with emphasis on the former I also plan to pass at least a few introductory actuarial exams as a backup, and maybe take up some online CS degree. My life is not without any bumps, I'm gonna be 21 years old this year and in the best scenario I will be attending Trinity College in Dublin or University College in Dublin in a slightly worse scenario it will be Universities of Limerick, Galway or Cork. These are all fairly decent in their ranking but definitely not top.
I wanted to ask you guys what are my chances of breaking in into a decent position in finance and how would my age or selection of the university and degree affect them.
