How does Microfinance Organization Intern look for consulting?

Hi. Starting this fall, I will be attending a top 20 liberal arts college and I am looking for an intern position during winter in the United States.

I am an international student pursuing a career in consulting who is also interested in microfinance and start-ups. I know the intern position is not guaranteed but I am looking at this organization called Grameen Bank which is a microfinance orgnazation in Bangladesh. How would that internship for my freshmen winter look?

And I know this is a broad question but how should i start preparing for a career in consulting?
