how long did it take you to go through your self-prep???
hey guys, I will be starting an MSF this may and will be interning part-time throughout the summer with a M&A/business valuation shop in the area. It sounds like if I do well I can get some real experience and responsibility throughout the summer. I am an applied math undergrad so I was looking at some self-prep before the summer, particularlary BIWS fundamentals course. I know many of you recommend this course and I was curious as to how long is takes to go through??? Any help would be great, or recommendations for other books/courses to look into. Thanks guys.
BIWS is enough for most people.
How long it takes? Take the total hours of the course and: - basic understanding and 40% comprehension: multiply by 1.1 - adequate understanding and 70% comprehension: multiply by 2.1 - in depth understanding and 95% comprehension: multiply by 2.8
I think in your case, 70% comprehension is great for self-prep. You'll definitely ease your learning curve.
If you know which industries your shop covers then maybe also explore those industries a bit but you might be better off just having some personal time while you can.
I did TTS not BIWS. has a book and videos. if you just read the book you could prob do it in like 5 days at an hour and a half a day. If you watch the videos too prob like 2 hours
BIWS products are exceptional
IT'S NOT SELF PREP UNLESS YOU READ ROSENBAUM'S IBANKING BOOK AND ALSO THE INTELLIGENT INVESTOR
EDIT: IMPRESSIVE, IT AUTO LINKED THEM TO AMAZON. NOW YOU CAN BUY THEM SO EASILY!
