How to prepare for your first job as an equity research analyst at a long-only boutique investment fund
Here's my background: I have an BA in economics and MSc in investment. Right now, I'm interning at an investment bank. In 2 weeks, I'll start my first full time job as a buy-side equity research analyst. I was an entrepreneur, so understanding a business from operational perspective is relatively easier for me. I have done mathematical Olympiad, so I'm OK with math. But I don't exactly have a good background in accounting. Telling story from financial statements is not something I am very good at. Are there some material or online courses that I can use to build up my accounting skills (for telling stories from the statements) before I start my new job?
