Hypothetical Tax Question

Let's say that I was going to work at a firm for the summer, lets call it firm "U" whose headquarters are in NJ, but I'm going to be living at the NYU dorms (UHall). Am I going to have to pay NY city taxes on my summer income?

Also anyone know how long it'll take me to get from 110 East 14 st to the ferry?

Just ask the question. Why does everyone ask these "hypothetical" questions? As for the answer, be resourceful - look online somewhere. You might start by looking at NYC's website.

how is that sarcastic at all?

you should pay NY city taxes because thats your primary residence as of now. make sure you dont pay double for NY and NJ. payroll screws up over there at times.
