Let's say that I was going to work at a firm for the summer, lets call it firm "U" whose headquarters are in NJ, but I'm going to be living at the NYU dorms (UHall). Am I going to have to pay NY city taxes on my summer income?

you should pay NY city taxes because thats your primary residence as of now. make sure you dont pay double for NY and NJ. payroll screws up over there at times.
I dunno I just assumed someone would figure out the bank I was talking about from the U and the fact that its HQ in NJ. Ah well.
