International student going to UVA
Hi everyone,
Im a student from Sweden who is studying a Master of Commerce, with finance as subject area. Im studying at one of the best universities in Sweden and I have "B" as my average grade (our grading scale is A,B,C,D,E,F.... where F = fail)
My university in Sweden has an agreement with UVA and therefore I will go to UVA and study at McIntire School of Commerce during the upcomming fall. Im going to study Project Management, Entrepreneurship, Global Sustainability, Webanalytics & E-commerce... and also Intermediate Macroeconomics.
Im wondering what american employers and especially Wall Street banks are thinking about students that have a foreign Master degree but also have studied at an american university like UVA. I have heard that UVA is really good if you want a finance job.
Is there anyone that also can tell me if I have any chance to get involved in the alumni network at McIntire if Im only there for one semester?
Thanks in advance
UVa does have a great business school and excellent placement on Wall Street but I think you will need work authorization for the US or something like that before employers can consider you
Thanks for quick response. Yes Im aware of that! But lets assume that I have this authorization. Do you have any clue about my chances?
