Is it possible to get a new client as an analyst?
I don't work in IB. I work in Big Four. Aside from networking and learning modelling, I'd like to see if I can help get a new client to help me stand out from the crowd in my future IB recruitment. I'm talking about from cross selling to finding leads from getting to know small business owners. Is it doable? I have talked to my IB mentors. It seems that none of them have gotten new clients when they just started their career. They think it's very very difficult. But I know it's been done before.
Have you ever or do you know anyone who has successfully introduced new business to the firm as an analyst?
