Lehman Brothers Summer Analyst Offers

Rumor has it that Lehman SA's will have all offers honored by new CEO Bob Diamond.

Anyone heard of something similar?

I interviewed at the end of the summer and received "letter of intent" with Lehman, but have not heard from them.

How appropriate would it be to contact HR, say, tomorrow to confirm this? (BTW, I've heard this is true from two different LEH sources, but I'd like to hear from HR to confirm and see it in writing)
