Lies about bonuses

Just curious (and believe what you want, but no this is not relevant to me):

Do people lie about there bonuses in PE and HF interviews? Do the shops call to confirm? And do the banks rat the guys out if they are lieing?

It's pretty shitty if some bottom bucket analyst is getting credit for being a lot better than he is (I know that reputation will probably precede the candidate, but nonetheless).

For better or for worse everyone does it at the office. AT an interview they might round up 65 to 70 but there is no huge likes like 50 to 80K. I was always in the top 10-20% so there was no place to really lie because everyone new the range, and if you exceeded the max well shits on your face. Howeverm you can tell when Joe Banker who is never staffed comes in and says he got 85 in a 50-100K bonud range that he is lying.
