Maximum "Free-Time"
Which career path within the Finance industry do you think has the most time flexibility? I was a Finance major with a minor in Economics. I'm currently working in the middle office of a BB.
I have a really entrepreneurial mindset, and ultimately I think I would like to work for myself. In the meantime, however, I would like to continue my career in a good position that allows me to earn a decent salary and invest that salary in myself and my personal endeavors.
The problem with a lot of these positions is that you make a lot of money, but you also work incredibly long hours. You either have no free time whatsoever or you are too tired to work on your own businesses when you do have it.
So, I ask: which career path gives you most free time while still allowing you to earn a good salary (>$100k)?
I don't mind working a lot of hours, but I just don't want to be stuck in an office all day, every day.
What are all of the viable options? What are the best options? What do you need to do to get there?
currently working at Big 4 and running my own business, in a completely different field. Hours permit it, lifestyle permits it, and the contacts and the expertise on tap saves a tonne. Plus if it all fails, I still have a career.

One of the exact reasons I decided to go into trading, the hours were very set, no weekends, holidays off, and I have time to do my business(es) on the side.
So trading is one option, okay. What other options are out there? Like I said, I have no problem working a lot of hours as long as they aren't confined to an office all day.
