Monitor Clipper Partners

Have anyone heard of these guys? Saw some threads on the forum but not much information on them.

Specifically, looking for information on the culture, perception, and performance of the firm. What kind of hours would you be working, how is the work (any cold calling?), and how are the exit opportunities.

Also, how is living in Boston?

Went through three rounds with them for a position directly out of Ugrad. I liked everyone that I met there, but the interviews were pretty tough. 2 first rounds, then a second round when I was in the office from 8am until 4pm, case study, brain teasers, technicals, etc. Then a final round which was just a lunch with a number of the people in the firm. Culture seemed pretty good, offices are really nice (great pantry haha).

Don't know a lot about the work, hours, etc.

I interviewed there - really bright guys. A few of the partners were founders of Monitor consulting group with Michael Porter. Most of the partners have HBS backgrounds, although they promote from within without MBAs. Seems they are basically trying to copy the Bain Consulting / Bain Capital model on a smaller scale. I know they generally hire straight out of undergrad, usually 1-2 analysts per year.

My impression is that reputation is similar to Audax (but better lifestyle), although they are not as well known because they only have about 15-20 investment professionals in the whole firm, whereas Audax has 15-20 analysts.
