MS M&A - Moving onto goldman?
If you were at Morgan Stanley IBD in the M&A group for the summer, would you bother moving onto goldman?

do you like it there? if so, theres absolutely no point to move. ms m&a is one of the best groups on the street.
If you like the people, I'd argue MS M&A places amongst the best on the street if not THE best. Smaller classes help, esp. compared to GS top groups like TMT, FIG etc.
how do smaller classes help?
I had about 15 interviews with these guys and I totally loved the people. However, I screwed up the very last interview and didn't get the offer... If I had to choose between MS and GS, I would definitely pick MS.

ms m&a is a top placement. no reason to move to gs.
Check your PM. I interviewed for a specific group.

IBGuy, how did you screw up the last interview? Was it with an MD? I've heard from a friend (Assoc 2) at MS, that you go through about eight interviews and everybody has to like you, but if the MDs like you, then that will carry more weight.
I love the culture at MS. Culture / how much you like the group should play a big part in your decision although it often doesn't.
