My introduction/ Advice needed

Hello WSO,

A little about myself:
* I will be graduating with my BS in Business: IT Management July 2013 (GPA 3.0) from a small state school (nothing special).
* I am currently 24 and I have been working full time since I was 19.
* Work Experience:
1 year as a Network Analyst/Tech (maintain and monitor the network) at a satellite communication company (current position)
6 months as a retirement specialist (Transamerica)
6 months as a retirement specialist (The Hartford)
2.5 years at Citibank as a Client Escalation Supervisor
* A few IT certifications

Why I am here:
When I was 19, my dream job was to be an investment banker, floor trader, or financial advisor. As I progressed through my young career and landed a job with a life insurance company, my passion for banking/finance started to disappear. After lots of thought, I decided to transition over to the tech field last summer). I was open to a handful of tech jobs (network engineer, system engineer, database admin, etc) and now that I've been in IT field for over a year, I can't see myself doing any of the IT jobs I mentioned above. I could see myself in a manager/director role for an IT department but not a 100% technical position. But...I'm also getting an itch for finance/banking/investments/forex once again.

I have come to conclusion that an MBA is in my future, which will help with switching back to finance or hopefully push me up the IT ladder (I have not decided yet). My goal is to get into a top 10 program. I know my GPA is low but I was thinking: if I kill the GMAT, get a masters degree (finance, accounting, statistics) with a near 4.0, and continue with my work experience...I will have a decent shot when I'm 26 and applying for schools in the fall of 2014 (starting 2015).

** With all the information I have provided, do you think I am on a good path? Would you add or change anything?
** Most of threads I read about are regarding individuals wanting to get into IB/PE/Finance, is there any reason no one talks about an MBA helping in the technology sector?
** How would you rate my work experience thus far?
