You're essentially asking should you go DCM or PE which is a question you need to answer.
I mean that i definitely want to go DCM i just dont know if this guy would be able to help me with that route? He is a great connection cause he is well known and very googleable. my whole point is i'm not sure what game plan to have with him.
Is he in PE or DCM?
HE is definitely PE.
Just don't focus on yourself during the meeting- ask a lot of questions about what he does, how he got where he is, etc. When the attention turns to you it's fine if you see yourself in a different area- you might as well be up front about it. He could still be a valuable resource in terms of connections or advice.
