New Accounting Graduate

I am about to graduate with a degree in Accounting but I am leaning more toward the Audit side because Tax seems insane. I live in Atlanta, GA and go to Georgia State University. I was never able to get an internship because I had to pay my way through school working restaurant jobs. So I am looking entry level. Someone must have some advice as to how to go about my future...

Are you still in school? If so job fairs are a pretty good place to start.

Also do you have a masters or are you going to get one?

>>>Yeah, I graduate in May with a Bachelor in Accounting. My goal is to sit for the CPA so I do plan on attending grad school. But I'm trying to make a move from Atlanta to Washington DC. I don't know of any good job fairs between now and graduation but I'm talking to everyone that I can. I know a few people at Robert Half and Accountemps that are working with me, but I'm not sure that temp is a smart way to go. They could maybe plug me into entry-level but I feel like there would be no growth. Like I said, I have no Accounting experience, so advice is welcome.

"Yeah, you know whatcha doin."

Yea that's probably not the best route to go. Look into good accounting graduate programs. I'm not sure if you need 150 hours to sit in Atlanta but a Grad program will give you the masters, 150 hours, and exposure to really good recruiting.
