Graduated from Non-Target with sights on IB/Asset Management, economy tanked (2008) and I didn't secure full-time job until early 2010. Without great prospects, I started in Government Real Estate Consulting with a Global IT firm/Government Contractor (Entry Level), made a brief/temporary lateral move as a Financial Analyst at a small business/government contractor, then moved into a Credit Analyst Role at a large bank (Asset Based Lending).
I understand my weaknesses (Non-Target Undegrad/Lagging Experience) relative to this community but I am committed to working hard to eventually break into Investment Management preferably as a buy-side analyst. I intend to continue to develop my skill set and pursue an MBA at a Target/Semi-Target to enhance my resume.
I am currently in the Washington DC metro area, do I need to continue to develop in the Credit Analyst role then pursue the MBA or would another lateral move make sense in an Analyst role at a local Investment Management firm?

I think your resume looks good, just needs more examples of work/projects/improvements in your current role.
A good credit analyst is always in demand, so if you can develop and with a smidge of networking you could lateral I imagine. I am not familiar w/ buyside credit analyst jobs but I'd browse them and look at their requirements and see how you stack up. (Certainly have the flexibility to move to other sell side firms where ever.)

Resume formatting can be tightened a bit as well.
No periods on any bullets GPA should be either 0.00/0.00 or 0.0/0.0, unlike yours Dates should use consistent formatting, abbreviate or not Can probably remove 3 month temp job note as it says contractor before that May want to include locations for the positions Either bold the work group or don't, but it is inconsistent

Also, I am in the midst of completing the BIWS Modeling self-study course. What is the best way to add that to the resume? Just as a "Skills" line item? That seems awkward.
