Newsflash: Obama Admits to Screw Up

Ok, I think this might be a first. Or at least it feels like it, after a collective 16 years under Clinton and GW, who both operated under the theory of "deny, deny, deny". Hell, Clinton "did not have sexual relations" with Monica I-love-blowing-powerful-men Lewinsky, even while she was wearing splotches of his man juice as a broach. And remember those pictures of good ol' Georgie boy looking under his desk for those ever elusive weapons of mass destruction??? Good times...

Well, only a few weeks into his presidency Obama is already bringing about some of that change he loves to preach about. At least in this respect. He admitted in a recent interview that he "screwed up" in his choice of Tom Daschle as secretary of health and human services. Well, that's sort of an understatement, but ok.

In case you've been living with your head in the sand, you now know that Tommy Boy just got bagged for being delinquent on his taxes (to the tune of about $128K). He, of course, apologized. I'm just curious if I decide to blow off Uncle Sam for a while if an apology would suffice, but I digress.

In a side note, Daschle has now bowed out of the running, and our Commander and Chief is left with a big old omelet on his face. He's off to a great start.

I can see why the liberals don't mind raising taxes: they don't pay them anyway. This is the third Obama nominee that had tax issues. What type of judgment does this man possess? Better question...Why the F*CK did so many people vote for him?

you guys are idiots - obama admits that he made a mistake in a relatively minor matter...

george bush persists that the war in iraq was justified and gets thousands more americans and iraqis killed. he keeps on preaching free markets and tax cuts, even when free markets spin out of control and tax cuts fail to stimulate the economy because people (rightfully so) save their $600 instead of 'stimulating' with it.

we need a pragmatic president - you can bet that obama will make more mistakes with worse implications, but if that means he's willing to take a new approach, I'm fine with it. bush would've covered this whole thing up - like the justice dept firings or CIA leak scandals.
