response time after first-round interview

For those of you who have been going through the interview process: how long have you typically had to wait to hear if you've made it to the second round?

I expected a couple days at minimum, but i'm still waiting to hear from interviews i had two weeks ago today...

anyone else had this happen to them?

mikesdabosstwo weeks=dink

banks don't call back people who dont get second round interviews.

I got a call on every single one of my dinks, both 1st and 2nd rounds.

Would love to chime in on this as well. If you don't mind me asking, which firms did you interview with?

I know someone who had OCR interviews with three firms this week and within 2 days was rejected for one and invited back for a superday with the other two..I though I haven't heard back from any of the ones I had this week either like the OP

After first rounds not hearing for up to a couple weeks is neither good nor bad.

After final rounds, anything more than a day or two is generally a bad sign.

I can't say which firms I interviewed with because I'm certain that will give my identity away. I know that banks get back to you very quickly and it's probably a bad sign if u don't hear back in a day or two. But I'm not sure how consulting firms work. I'm also not sure if weekends count as days if the interviewer told you they will get back to you in x amount of days.

You can send in an email saying that you had spoke to XX and so on during the interview and was told to expect the results around this week etc. Just be polite and you will be fine. Most probably they are either interviewing other candidates or they might be too busy to prepare for the next steps or so.

Sent the e-mail and one hour later one of the interviewers called appologizing for a delay and telling me that he was just about to call me to say that I'm moving on to the next round :) Strange things happen hehe.

Anyway, thanks for the replies again!
