Non-GAAP Financials
Where can I find the non-GAAP financial statements for a Company? They are suppose to be reported in the 8-k correct, but I can't seem to find them for any company that i'm performing a benchmarking analysis of. When you perform a benchmark, the NON-GAAP numbers are preferred correct?
Most companies include a section with non-GAAP reconciliations (of certain metrics) in the MD&A.
Pretty much every metric used by analysts is non-GAAP (e.g. EBIT, EBITDA, FCF, etc.).
Don't worry so much about GAAP vs. non-GAAP, just read the footnotes, the MD&A, and the last few K's and Q's to get an idea of what you need to normalize to ensure comparability.
