Our resumes are always read by analysts/alums from our school. Is this true?

I heard that during recruitment for investment banking INTERNS at TARGET schools, the resumes are all read by first year analysts from that school. Is this true?

So if I go to Wharton, and assuming that around 15-40 guys got into Goldman, will my resume to Goldman be read by those guys?

Do 2nd year analysts read any of the intern resumes? or 1st years only? Or is the process purely random analysts from all schools review resumes from any school?

nice name lol...yea if you're at a target and simply do a resume drop, your resume will be read by alums from your school, and it does not necessarily have to be 1st year analysts, it can also be 2nd year analysts, or those who are part of the "recruitment team" for your school...for SA recruiting atleast it is definitely not random analysts

awesome! Thanks for the confirmation! I've been wondering about this for an eternity. So I'm guessing the guys who personally know the analysts or are friends with them would have an upper edge here? Also, is the decision on your resume decided by a single analyst or do they actually sit around in groups of 2-3 and debate about it?
