Potential Market Movers - Providers??

Hey guys,

I was wondering if any of you might know any useful providers of lists of potential market movers ahead of, let's say, the next trading week. I've once seen on Business Insider an article/page that listed all the potential market movers that were about to happen the following week such as:

- important GDP/unemployment/etc data to be released
- important meetings to take place
- etc..

If you guys happen know any website that specializes in this aspect please do share it here!

Thanks !

P.S.: And also, for a home-trader, what would you suggest to use in order to get all the important information as fast as possible? - for example in the previous weeks when EZ's GDP has fallen short of expectations and the Euro fell sharply....how can I, as a home trader, get this information before the market has already reacted and the drift took place?

you would have to somehow get them before the numbers are officially released like everyone else

You would not be able to do that as a home trader. Nowadays, this kind of information is released electronically at a very precise time, and low-latency arbitrageurs with colocated systems are going to react in a few microseconds.

If you have access to a Bloomberg terminal, look at the graphs and you'll see very sharp movements after economic releases.

So the only way for the home trader is to actually forecast [don't know how that is possible :))] any exceptionally bad/good data to be published and make the trades way ahead of the announcement....as I also suppose [intuitively] that brokers would be unwilling/unable to sell me anything of the kind when a sharp movement is taking place in that particular product...
