Prepping for the SIE & Series 79
How many hours would you recommend for the SIE and Series 79 prep? I've scheduled about 40 hours of prep time for the SIE, but haven't started yet on any top off exams. Also if anyone has used solomon to prep for either of these, how much time would you advise spending on the flash cards? Thanks.

Another bump
Logged in today and found a new message on the homepage recommending 60 hours of study time. Let's see what happens with 49 hours instead.

Most firms when onboarding SA's will do roughly 4 weeks of training and I believe more or the same for FT. This was an edit
Inside of that training, they should devote time to study days, training, etc.. all related to said SEI & Series exams. Upon that you should be studying on your off time. If you listen during the study days, do the work in the training, and study on your off time, you should be fine. Would worry less about the "hours" and more about the understanding of the material.
Best of luck!
Passed the SIE. Using knopman marks for the S79, and while they have an impressive pass rate of like 97% there's a ton of material in their recommended study plan. For those that have used knopman, what parts should you use and ignore?
Took the SIE, 7, and 63 between March-May of this year. Used Kaplan for all. SIE probably put around your targeted hours maybe little less. Just do the practice questions until you have repeated all the questions that you got wrong. It is a “a mile wide but an inch deep”.
Bump a couple of weeks out from the series 79.
For those of you that have taken it, how many math-based questions did you get? The valuation part of studying is killing me so many ratios and formulas to memorize
Bump monkeys pls help
About 20% of the test was calculation based
Thanks! Was this the old version or the new one? Interesting to see the wide range of math based questions users have gotten
