Reapplying to McKinsey
Hi Guys,
So I was interviewed for a position at McKinsey & Company and I received a rejection letter immediately after taking the required aptitude tests. To be honest, I really don't think I did well on the tests, unfortunately (they don't reveal the scores). The questions were not hard but the time pressures really screwed me over. I wish I'd more than a few days to prepare. I seriously blew over my chance to work at THE firm! Is it advisable to apply for a different position so soon after a rejection? Please let me know your take on that. Many thanks for all your responses!
if you are rejected because of the PST, you have to wait for 2 years before the next app. if you are rejected because of the interviews, you have to wait 1 year.
Either that, or swap the 2 no-app time periods, I can't be sure
Thanks for your response.
Yah you're right. Also, if you think McK is the only thing really worth applying to you don't stand a chance anyway
Did you take the SHL tests? How many days after you took the test did you hear back?
I did. I heard back the same day so I'm guessing I totally failed the SHLs or did worst than everyone else, who knows? If you're going to take it, work on your time!! The material isn't difficult is just that they put you under extreme time pressures.
