Renege accepted offer - other company doesn't know
I accepted an internship offer for a corp fin position (that I was eh about) a month ago, but right after I accepted I was notified I had a first round interview with an AM. I wanted the AM a lot more. One of the questions was "have you accepted an offer with another company" and I said no and kept saying no every time they brought it up, even though I accepted the corp fin offer.
Well I ended up getting the offer for AM a few days ago. So my question is if I renege on the previous offer, is there a chance that HR at corp fin would talk with HR at AM, find out that I lied about not having accepted an offer, and then I get completely screwed out of both? Should I call the company and come clean that I have accepted a previous offer, but want to sign with them instead? Or do I just shut my mouth, renege and accept the offer, and say nothing to AM at all? Should I just take the corp fin role and reject the AM offer?

Thanks for the input. My issue here is that I didn't tell the AM firm that I had accepted the CF offer, and that I am afraid that if I renege, the CF firm will find out where I ended up at and reach out to the AM firm to let them know. In that case, I get screwed out of both.
For your second point, I did use campus recruiting and the company will most definitely notify the school. The school will get pissed, but I know a few people who have done this before and got "banned" but were able to appeal it pretty easily. Additionally, would it be at all possible that my school reaches out to the new employer and tell them that I reneged? Seems like a super shitty move on the school's part, but it's bschool and I wouldn't put it past them.
I would of course do this very quickly and in the most apologetic manner possible. I know they'll be pissed regardless but hopefully not as vengeful as can be.

It's a bit complicated. I did campus recruiting through b-school for the CF role, but also did campus recruiting but through the general university portal for the AM position.
