Restructuring to Healthy Private Equity: Chances?

Curious if anyone has opinions/insights on restructuring groups (PJT/HL/LAZ/MOCO/EVER/ROTH) sending people to healthy PE buyout groups (MF or Upper MM)? The reason I ask is b/c PJT RSSG is considered one of the best groups on the street, but they are Rx, not traditional M&A so I would think that Rx is fine if you want to exit to healthy PE. Thanks!

PJT R&R and Laz M&A / RX (combined group) have very good reps on the street on so those guys are capable of getting interviews through pedigree, and then obviously doing well in the interviews since they have the technical background / behavioral polish. I think as you go further down the list, it becomes a bit harder to actually get looks from HHs who place you into buyout, but it certainly shouldn't be that hard for RX guys to do buyout work and so if you can justify your interest it should be OK.
