Roommates

Anyone going into FT still looking for a roommate? I've been looking at rent prices in Manhattan and it's pretty slim pickings for a one person studio under $1600... And I do NOT want to go with a broker.

Besides urbanhostess, any other good forums to find roommates that are not sketchy?

Heh. I'll be working in Chicago so the rent is a lot more manageable. Good luck though. I ended up going with a studio since my good friends won't be graduating this semester. Maybe a two-bedroom next year. How do you know someone from urbanhostess isn't sketchy?

Employees of companies that signed on with urbanhostess get a login and can search for roommates (employees of the same or other companies). You get to see which company they are working with and you can get in touch with them. So less sketchy anyway.

You signed a place already? So when do you start paying for the place? I didn't think you can sign something so far in advance.
