Should I go into LatAm or Energy?

Hi everyone, looking for your sage advice.

I'm a junior (Lat. Am. born) at a target. I'm looking into IBD SA in LatAm groups in NYC and Energy in Houston (I'm fine with moving to Houston-- don't consider the cities in your answers).

I don't know what I want to do after my analyst years-- most likely going to business school. Idk if I wanna do PE or stick to banking or even go corporate, but as of now, I think I would like to work with energy in Latin America (and I'm not even 100% sure how to do that yet, but we'll see as time goes).

Would you recommend I start off in a LatAm group or an Energy group? Could you tell me why you think so?
Thanks!

Energy group not even close. Can't really explain why, but it should make sense that if you want to do something in energy in the future the best way to make that happen is to learn as much about energy now as possible. LatAm group will working with countries in that region- not necessarily energy companies and won't give you expertise in energy.
