Still a new graduate?
I've been in the job searching process for the past few months and the definition of "new graduate" has been an issue that was recently brought to my attention. My last study term ended in Dec 2013, and I didn't convocate until EOM Oct 2014 (this year). I've been job hunting since 2013 but no luck. Since I and extended my study for exchange, my degree would be about 6 years to 'officially' complete, with internships in between.
I finally got a stable job that I plan to hold on to for a while. I would like to target bank rotational programs again next year but I am wondering if I am going to encounter any issues due to my predicament? I already know companies like Deloitte are happy to take slightly more experienced graduates, but I have encountered an issue with Accenture where I received an interview but then was revoked because I am not considered 'graduating student of 2014'. What are my chances with a bank rotational for 2015 or 2016? How much time do I have to be a 'new graduate'?
