Study Abroad ok, but how about HS study abroad?

Do any of you have experience with study abroad during HS? Ive been told to list my college study abroad experience on my resume...was wondering if I should do so with my HS study abroad experiences as well?
If so, how would you work it in?
Thanks,

If you've spent an entire semester or year abroad as a student in hs, I'd go for it if it was truly eye-opening. What do you have to lose?

Depends on the experience

In general I advise all my clients to avoid including anything from high school, unless they went to a prep high school with lots of alumni in banking (e.g. Andover / Exeter) or won extremely prestigious awards.

That said, if you have significant study abroad experience that is more than just a 1 month trip to Europe / Asia and such, it might be worthwhile to include or at least bring up in the interview.

For example, if you spent a semester to year in Nepal studying Buddhism or went to Iceland and studied geothermal energy or something really unusual along those lines, it's worth including on your resume.

I would probably add it to the Skills, Activities & Interests section and write something like "Studied abroad for xx months / xx years in..." and give a brief 1-line description. I would not add a high school entry or add it to your Education section unless you already have high school on there for some reason.
