Thank You Letter Analysis
So I just had a superday today for IBD at a BB and sent out thank you emails to all of the interviewers. Out of all the emails that I sent, one associate got back to me and wished me the best of luck with the rest of soph year and that I should consider him as a resource going forward. Maybe I'm overthinking it, but does this mean anything significant (ie rejection, offer etc)? I know they make decisions right after the superday but they told me that I should hear back after a week.
You just never know. I've had experiences where no one responded and I got the offer and experiences where multiple people wrote back and I didn't get it. Send the thank you's as a check the box item but don't read too much into the responses or lack thereof.
At least you know you presented well with him since he said to use him as a resource going forward
Morgan Stanley?
This is why bankers should never reply to thank you emails. All replying to thank you emails does is create paranoia.
Honestly, you probably got dinged. I hope that I'm wrong, but to me it sounds like the associate fought for you at the round table, but was overruled, hence why he's offering you help.
