Tips on Reaching Out to Boutiques Far From One's Region
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has tips for reaching out/networking with boutiques that are outside of ones region? For example, if a state schooler from California wants to work in NYC and needs to contact boutiques there for full-time offers, what would be the best way to go about doing it? The reason it's a bit tricky is because the firms aren't too familiar with the school since it's a different area, there's less alumni since it's far away, and finally, informational interviews are hard because meeting face-to-face is damn near impossible during the school year. While my situation isn't exactly the same as the example above, I was wondering if anyone else has faced these hurdles in getting an offer and if you have tips for overcoming this.
Thanks!
