Truth or white lie?

Ok here's the story - was filling out the medical questionare the firm sent for the FT offer and on it there's a question of whether I've ever taken recreational drugs, which I have to a fair extent but not since last year so they wouldn't be detectable in a test (which I don't think they do anyhow). Since the firm and not just the medical centre see this info do people think I should answer yes or no. My gut feeling was just check yes, since a lot of students have and since I'm talking about Europe drugs aren't as big a no no as in the US and with all the "rights" you have I'm sure they couldn't do anything for something you did in the past. However I then thought it might still might look bad, like I'm some coke head or something and it would be a safer bet to check no. I know it's a bit of a silly dilema but still, any thoughts?

Don't try to win points for honesty... Put no. For God's sake, put no.

You should put no. However look for the fine print saying you grant the firm access to your medical records with your GP. The probability that they will ever ask your GP for those is probably nil, however just something to keep in mind if you ever disclosed to your GP that you took drugs.
