Urgent Advice Needed: Private Fund Group or M&A

Hey guys,

Urgent advice re. team selection needed as I am joining UBS London this summer and need to choose between PFG and M&A. Anyone could give some insight and suggestions on this?

Some quick intro of PFG as it splits into two teams and I will be assigned to one of the teams depending on business needs. Therefore I can't decide on which team to join even if I do prefer secondary team.

  • “Primary” team—raises funds for private equity (“PE”), infrastructure and real estate clients from institutional investors globally
  • “Secondary” team—sell-side advisors to holders of interests in PE funds and equity stakes in private companies. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Private_equity_secon…

Re. M&A team, people spend 90% time on pure executions and will have good exposure to client meetings, traveling, modelling, etc.

Great thks for u guys help!
