Wachovia S&T First Round
From a blind resume submission on their resume, I secured a first round telephone interview. Who knew that those resumes were actually reviewed!
What will I be asked? What's the culture like? Where will I be based (Charlotte or NYC)? What do they excel at?
Or where could I find the answers to these questions.
Thank you in advance
I think 90% Wachovia IB stuff is in Charlotte.
What were your credentials like? And did they call you on the phone to tell you that your phone interview will be on so and so date...or did they send an email?

Ive got one on Wednesday. I got mine through Doostang as someone submitted a resume for me. From what I know almost all of their stuff is in Charlotte but if you read the trading analyst roles it does say opportunities are available in NY, it just doesnt specify which ones.
I came from a non-target school and graduated in May 2006. Currently, I'm working for a small structured finance firm. I rec'd an email informing me about my telephone interview tomorrow.
Anyone with some color?
Analyst26: Congrats on your interview. Keep me posted and good luck!
For those applying to Wachovia, what are your thoughts on the bank? Why do you want to work for them, where do you see them going, etc. Just curious.
Derivatives and Fixed Income are in NYC, most everything else is in Charlotte
(i.e. I have friends in Interest Rate Swaps and Structured products who either started in NYC or moved there after a year; other friends in Equities and FOREX are in Charlotte and not likely to move"
"Derivatives and Fixed Income are in NYC, "
They are also in charlotte
Hey all,
I scored a second-round telephone interview. It's tomorrow...Sunday of all days.
Randomwalk: Thank you for the information regarding the locations of the desks. That is helpful information.
