What do I need to know and what should I be reading to carry a conversation with I-bankers
Are there threads here on WSO that cover the basics of knowledge you should have when talking to an investment banking type over lunch?
What should I be reading? I read the economist but it's more geopolitics than business news. Also when you guys read the WSJ do you read everything or skim it?
I'm a quick reader and I want to start reading relevant news on a daily basis so please post what you think I need to know so I don't sound like an idiot.
I added WSJ Deal Journal and NYT Dealbook to my rss reader, which will be good day to day. Is there something I can read which will help me understand the different fields in investment banking?
