What is life like after Wall Street
I have been coming to WSO for a couple of years now, and while I have seen a myriad of posts on WSO, one that has continually come up is "how the financial industry is on a major downtrend in terms of both pay and opportunity." As a result, a large number of people, as I've seen on WSO, have left Wall Street in pursuit of other business ventures and passions. My questions are to those who have left. Was it worth it to leave? Are you happier now? And do you make more money than when you had left? I'm interested in what everyone has to say as it would give me insight into life outside of Wall Street. On another note, if anyone has any ideas on what the next up and coming industry is, similar to what wall street was in the 1980s, I'd love to hear. Looking forward to the discussion.

I remember that - Riches to Rags story :p He was okay but nowhere near spectacular - you can really only "make" it playing piano if you're classically trained. Everyone else just plays synthesizer.
