But I couldn't agree more with the line:

In my experience I laugh harder and more often on this forum than I do at any NYC comedy club I've been to. That being said, are there comedians out there that started off in finance? Lots of gems in this industry.
Seems like he's emulating LSO. So yes, LSO is funny as hell.

Not quite finance, but I used to talk a lot online with a guy in Wall Street biglaw who does comedy stints on the side.

They might not be faking it, they might be laughing at you thinking "Ha look at this dude telling unfunny jokes."

OP -- What comedy clubs are you going to? WSO is definitely not more funny than a decent comedy club. Not even close.
