Your take on stock prices

Hey, I know there's many metrics to figure out if a stock is a good buy, such as P/E, PEG, fundamentals.... but I can't figure out how the stock price in relation to it's 52wk high or low can help my decission. If a stock is very near it's 52wk high, is it good b/c it's growing or bad because it might not go up more, peak. Same with a stock near a 52 week low, is it bad b/c the company is crashing or is it good because it is relatively cheap and will make a comeback. What's your take on stock price related to it's 52wk range?

thanks
