FAQ: How do I edit, delete, or move a thread / post I've created?

Return to Main FAQ Page

Editing / Deleting a Post

Editing a post is very simple, all you have to do is look at the bottom left corner of the comment you left and find the small icon that looks like a sheet of paper and a pencil. When you click that it will take you to a page where you can edit what you wrote. Make sure to click "Save" when you're done. At this time you are unable to delete or move a post, but generally if someone wants their post gone they will edit it to only show a period.

Editing / Deleting a Thread

To edit a thread, look under the title of the topic you've created. There should be two options: View (which you are looking at) and Edit. Click the edit tab. This will take you to a page where you can edit your original thread post. Make sure you click "Save" when you're done. To delete the thread, click the edit tab. Instead of editing your post, scroll down to where the "Save" button is and you will see a "Delete" button next to it. Click that, confirm and your thread is gone. You cannot edit or delete other people's comments on your thread.

Moving a Thread

Once again you will want to click on the "Edit" tab for your topic. This time select the new forum you'd like to have your thread in. Click "Save" and you're done. If you want to leave a copy for those who have already commented on it to find it, make sure to check the "Leave Shadow Topic" option, which will automatically redirect people to your thread in it's new home.
