FAQ: Will they find out about ____, and will it matter?

Return to Main FAQ Page

Please do not be an idiot.

That about sums it up. We would like you to succeed and this is not the way to make that happen (unless you're aiming for a career in politics, than go for it... and you'll probably want to find a different website). If (and when) you are found to have lied to the company that is hiring you, you will most likely be fired. This kills all of your exit ops from that job. You have to start over at the very beginning and there's a good chance you won't be able to get a job again in the industry. People talk, and getting fired for lying to your company about your past is something that will make the gossip rounds.
