Pete grew up in Michigan, lived in Arizona for 8 years, and now studies in London.
He has been tutoring for the last eight (almost 9 now) years, beginning during his freshman year of undergraduate studies. He has a natural ability in standardized tests, scoring in the top percentile nationally since grade school. An in depth knowledge of these tests and years of experience with one-to-one tutoring allows Pete to quickly find a student’s weak spots and fix them. Many of his students have improved their scores 100 points or more within a month’s time.
Pete has also tutored algebra, calculus, accounting, economics, and life sciences in the past. He has led the new-hire training classes at Charles Schwab, as well.
Pete's hobbies include go-kart racing, rock climbing, cooking, travel, and golf. He has visited more than 20 countries and plans to set foot in six continents before turning 30 (he is half way there now).
He was a National Merit Scholar, and attended Arizona State University on a full ride scholarship where he studied finance and accounting. After spearheading a turn-around effort at a struggling technology company and later working as an investment advisor to high net worth investors, he moved to London to study finance at London Business School. His concentration is in financing entrepreneurial and growing businesses.
Pete's students often say he has a talent for making things simple to understand and presenting them in a memorable way. He gets a real kick out of seeing the light bulb go off in a student’s head. He has also been told that he helps students handle test anxiety well and helps build their confidence during the process.
