The Last DSK Thread

I know Dominique Strauss Kahn is yesterday’s (err, last week’s) news, but this is just too good to pass up. Nothing like some old school cheesy tunes combined with a fake old school debonair playa rapist playing central banker during his day job. Enjoy the corn, futures refuse to settle.

Very catchy music and very intelligent lyrics. Here's the thing--about 8 years ago I was on the wrong end of a very malicious rape LIE, a lie that was proven so in the end but that cost me some significant friendships. The guy might be guilty, but I will NEVER EVER believe a woman ever again--including my wife and daughters (if I ever have them)--when it comes to the rape or attempted rape allegation. Women are professionals at having ulterior motives for everything related to sex. In fact, many married men would say women use sex as a manipulative tool, not a tool for their physical or emotional pleasure. I know it's not fair, but as far as I'm concerned the woman is a dirty, lying lunatic until she proves otherwise.

Try to think back to the last national news rape case--the Duke lacrosse team. Yeah.

There should honestly be a law that says people accused of rape should not have their identiy exposed until after conviction. This guy lost a significant amount and might be let go. It could happen to any one of us also. Rape is no longer a guy in a ski mask behind a bush. Rape is a girl having too many drinks and calling the police 2 days later. Even if found innocent, anyone googling your name will see you charged with rape. Might as well have a scarlet letter.

Guilty until proven innocent. Such garbage.
