Intern - Asset Management

Applied online for a 6 month internship, one week later I received an invitation for a phone interview. The phone interview with the hiring manager was 30 min and consisted mainly of questions like tell me about yourself, what do you know about asset management and why asset management. The hiring manager described what they do and then you could ask him some questions. After that I received an invite to a 1h personal interview (final round) with two people from the team. It was rather informal and unstructured. Once again we talked about my motivation, my knowledge, and some technical questions (although not difficult). They really liked to talk about their team and team culture, but not really a lot about what they do and what they have accomplished. It kind of felt weird, as this wasn‘t what I expected. Got rejected a few days later.
PS: In general the recruiting process at Credit Suisse is more structred and includes an Online Assessment as well as a HR Rep who also asks questions. I don‘t know why this didn‘t happen in my case.
