What did the interview consist of?
1 on 1 Interview
Please describe the interview / hiring process.
I applied through my school's on-campus recruiting process. I was notified that I would be interviewed on-campus a few days later. I was interviewed by two GS employees within the Securities. It was half technical and half behavioral. The interview started out with me walking the interviewers through my resume. They then asked follow up questions about my background. After awhile, they asked me what I would invest in. They pushed me about why I would invest in what I picked until I couldn't answer. They really want to see how well you know whatever industry you think it worth investing in. They then asked me if I had any questions for them afterward. It was a very simple 30 minute interview. They were pretty nice overall.
